Tonight, in separate auctions, I will be listing several vintage VIETNAM WAR posters.
NOT A COPY OR REPRINT!! This is a vintage 1960's US military poster that reads:
FACES OF FREEDOM / SOUTH VIET-NAM.
Bottom margin reads: "POSTER 3"
Measures 18 3/8" x 23"
This poster seems to be from a very hard-to-find series printed for the State Department in 1967, part of LBJ's low-key attempt to sell the war to the American public.
In my research, I could find only one other example of this poster, and it is in the University of Iowa Library Collection.
Poster displays beautifully, and has been rolled and stored for over 40 years. It will flatten nicely for framing.
Tack holes to corners, and small 1/8" closed tear to top edge. Absolutely no other rips, tears, holes, or hidden damage, and NO REPAIRS!
Guaranteed to be old, and not a reproduction.
