Vintage Silvertone Tube Radio, Model 7054, circa 1947

Description

For auction is a Vintage Silvertone Tube Radio, Model7054, circa 1947.
I am auctioning this piece strictly AS-IS.
This radio is currently NOT working and will need repair / restoration or might just be usable for parts or decoration.
It is missing three tubes (pictured), and I don’t know if the rest are good.
This piece has the kinds of dings and scuffs you would expect from a vintage piece but the case is in overall good shape.
While the dial glass is missing, the knobs and dial seem to be period correct.
The antenna is loose, but that should be easy to glue down.
There are two newer screws holding the back plate in place (two are missing).
This piece can use a good light cleaning but I didn’t do anything to the surface as I know collectors like to determine what needs done.
This is a nice radio, and I honestly hate to put it up for auction, but I don’t have the time to give it the attention it needs – I hope someone can appreciate it enough to fully restore it.
This would be a great project radio, or sadly a parts radio.
Either way, it is offered AS-IS.
I occasionally get asked if I will‘part-out’ or sell parts to a radio.
The short answer is ‘no’.
While I appreciate that you may just need that one part, this only leaves me with an even less functional radio and someone else will have to replace the part you now have.
